Sam has a solid background helping clients develop and implement customized financial planning strategies suitable for achieving their financial goals and consistent with their risk tolerance.
By applying a professional, consistent and sensible approach to a systematic financial planning process, Sam works closely with his clients and their advisors to analyze, design and execute effective asset allocation strategies, risk management and estate planning. In addition, Sam helps his clients fund their unique financial strategies by recommending specific investments, life insurance policies, and other appropriate risk management and financial products.
Sam works with clients including legal and medical professionals, owners of closely held businesses, investment bankers, business executives, and entrepreneurs at all stages of their careers and lives. As a Retirement Planning Specialist, a large part of Sam's practice involves helping pre-retirees and retirees achieve the financial goals of their post-working years. The Retirement Planning Specialist title is awarded by Equitable Advisors based upon receipt of a Certificate in Retirement Planning from the Wharton School of Business.
After enjoying a professional career in corporate banking for more than 20 years, Sam joined Equitable Advisors in 2000. (Equitable Advisors has updated the overall brand for our family of companies to Equitable Advisors effective January 14, 2020) . He is a graduate of New York University, Leonard B. Stern School of Business. In 2006 he was awarded the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. Also in 2006, Sam completed the course work for a Certificate in Retirement Planning. He is an active member of the Financial Planning Association, FPANY and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.
